About Latanoprost A prostaglandin analogue, Antiglaucoma. Mechanism of Action of Latanoprost Latanoprost is a prostaglandin F2-alpha analogue and it is a prostanoid selective FP receptor agonist which reduces the intraocular pressure (IOP) by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor mainly through increasing uveoscleral outflow.
