About Sertraline Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI), Antidepressant, Antidepressant Mechanism of Action of Sertraline Sertraline blocks the re-uptake of neurotransmitter Serotonin from the synapse in to the presynaptic nerve terminal in the CNS.
